Seeking Asynchronous DDCMP?

The Question is:

 
We are replacing an MicroVAX 4000 running VMS with a new Alpha server.  Does
 OpenVMS support DDCMP over an asynchronous line so the new Alpha server can
 interface with our old MicroVAX applications which use DDCMP?  If so, where
 can we find the user inter
face/descriptions.

The Answer is :

 
  Asynchronous DDCMP is not available on OpenVMS Alpha, you would
  have to insert a DECnet router with this support into the local
  network configuration, or move to SLIP, PPP, or other protocol.
