The Question is:
I am running UCX version 4.2 and I am seeing the following error. We have an
application that accesses two tcp high ports, 15030 and 15040. Everything
works fine till there is a period of inactivity. At that time the ports
become non responsive. The A
lpha system says that they are still listening but do not respond. What could
this be? Or is there a way to automatically reset the port after a period of
inactivity?

Please upgrade to TCP/IP V5.0A as a first step. Then (if the
problem persists) please contact the Compaq Customer Support
Center, as information on the local IP environment and the
application and the source code involved will very likely be
required to resolve this. Once sufficient information is
available to reliably reproduce this problem, a solution can
then likely be determined and provided.
