The Question is:
Dear Wizard,
When using VMSTAR on Binary files, I am coming across corruption problems.
My commands are as follows....
$ VMSTAR/create file.tar file.bin
$ VMSTAR/binary/extract file.tar
file.bin;2 always has data missing.
$ dir file.bin/full
produces the following discrepancy
file.bin;1
Record Format : Variable length max 64 bytes
file.bin;2
Record Format : Fixed length 512 byte records
Is this the problem ?
Am I missing a qualifier ?
Am I using VMSTAR in the wrong way ?

The Answer is :
Please contact the maintainer(s) of VMSTAR for assistance, or
try a tar utility or VMSTAR version other than the version in
use here. (It does appear that VMSTAR is broken.)
