The Question is:
The software that we develop uses X25 via an old packet switch to connect to
local sites on a LAN and remote sites on a WAN.
Some of our Alpha machines and workstations do not have X25 cards in them and
instead of buying more X25 cards we are considering using a ROUTEABOUT box on
the local LAN to allow those without X25 cards to have access to X25 processes.
How would system services such as Qio, be affected on the machines without X25
cards if we use the ROUTEABOUT box instead?
We are currently using OpenVMS version 7.1-2 and DECnet plus OSI.
