The Question is:
Seeking TECO documentation.
It's been well over 10 years (probably almost 20!) since I've used TECO. I can
remember just enough to use it, but I have two immediate needs. One is: how do
I quit TECO? The other is: how do I make a startup file for TECO? Generally,
too, I'd like to kno
w if there's any kind of online documentation for TECO?
re the TECO startup file, I'd like to do the following: bj2diaa$ex$$
I have this is a file but can't seem to get it to execute. I've tried actual
<escape> characters, dollars, etc. As I said, it's been a looong time. Of
course, the above executes properly when done manually...sigh...<G> The VMS
help doesn't have much more
than about a half dozen commands listed.
The Answer is :
Quit TECO with the commands EX or EG (which have other effects),
or three Control/Z characters from the keyboard in a row.
Define the logical name TEC$INIT to point to your TECO startup file.
The OpenVMS Wizard will evaluate the possibility of releasing the
TECO text editor documentation through alternative means.
