When adding a new member to an existing stripeset, do I still need to take it a
part and initialize it?
The Answer is :
The answer depends greatly on the software package or the hardware
managing the stripeset. Please contact the Compaq Customer Support
Center for assistance, as more specific information will be needed.
(OpenVMS can certainly tolerate dismounting a disk, and remounting
a larger disk in its place -- assuming the particular hardware disk
storage subsystem can itself tolerate warm- or hot-swapping widgets.)
