CD Recordable? CD-R? CD Writer?

The Question is:

 
Simple one I hope. Is there any support for CD writers on 7.2-1? We're trying
 to get off tape as a distribution media for our customers. If there isn't, got
 any ideas? I've got a weird way of doing it at the moment that works
 (VMS-Unix-NT) but I need some
thing simple for our production guys, most of whom only have a VMS box anyway.
