The Question is:
I am trying to setup a interface between a Microfax 3100 and Coulter MaxM hematology analyzer and having problem with cabling between the two system. On the Microvax I have a MMJ port (TTA3) six pin port. On the Coulter MaxM I have a standard EIA-type 2
5-Pin connector using EIA standard RS-232-C signals.
On the analyzer the pins configuration is as follows:
pin 2 - transmit data
pin 3 - receive data
pin 4 - ready to send (RTS)
pin 5 - clear to send (CTS)
pin 6 - DSR
pin 7 - signal ground
pin 20 - DTR
How do wire the cable to go to the MMJ Jack
For a 25 pin connector they suggest:
pin 2 to 3
pin 3 to 2
pin 4 to 5
pin 5 to 4
pin 6 to 20
pin 7 to 7
pin 20 to 6
Thank you for any insight you could give me.
The Answer is :
