Forwarding mail?

The Question is:

 
I am trying to forward vms mail to an microsoft exchange server 5.5.  i try
the forward command and i get and error saying "error parssing address"  how
do i resolve this problem. i know the address is correct. thanks

  stack providing SMTP -- can be used to forward OpenVMS mail messages
  to another SMTP-capable system via SMTP:
