The Question is:
We have an AlphaServer 1000 which is the boot node for our AlphaStations
(satellites), all running OpenVMS 7.2.
Is it also possible to use this AlphaServer for booting a UNIX workstation
(by using bootp)?
The server runs TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS 5.0A .
Thanks in advance,
L. Vandevelde
The Answer is :
OpenVMS can certainly honor bootp requests and can service ftp, tftp
and NFS requests, though the OpenVMS Wizard is not familiar with what
is involved and what is required to bootstrap Tru64 UNIX.
