TCP/IP printing connection rejected?

» close window

The Question is:

I am running UCX version 4.1 - ECO 9. Every so often One of the tcp/ip
print queues stops printing. When I check the UCX telenet log
for the printer I get the following error:

Thu Dec 2 16:07:30 1999, open_socket_ast invoked with bad IOSB 660: connect
to network object rejected.

After a radom period of time the queue does start to print again.

What do I have set up wrong?

Thank you in advance.

The Answer is :

You will first want to upgrade to TCP/IP Services V4.2 with the current
ECO or (better) to V5.0A (or later).

The OpenVMS Wizard assumes that this is a case of the printer being
unable to respond (busy, etc), and TCP/IP engaging the retry back-off.

Please see topic 1020, and the existing discussions of the logical names
  there and elsewhere.
