Ask the Wizard Questions

Alpha Internet test-drive systems

The Question is:

At one time, access to a "demo" AXP system was available at axpvms.cc.utexas.edu. A long time ago (okay, maybe a year or two), I applied for and had an account on that system.

Of course, now that I *really* need to test the porting of code from a Vax to an Alpha, access to that system is not available.

Is this service available elsewhere? It would be really, really, really handy...

The Answer is:

Unfortunately, this service was suspended on November 1. We hope to have it (or something similar) available in the future, but for now you'll have to look elsewhere for access to an OpenVMS Alpha system.
