Ask the Wizard Questions

Alpha serve a completely Mac environment?

The Question is:

Would a Alpha server be able to serve a completely Macintosh
environment?  If so, has it been done before successfully?  My company
is replacing its current server and a sales person is selling us on
Alpha. It's my job to make sure he's not selling us problems.  Please
let me know what your recommendations are.  We run about 3 quadras, 2
PowerMac 9500's and 1 PowerMac 8100/100.  We work alot with high end
graphics and layouts.

The Answer is:

Using Digital's PATHWORKS for OpenVMS (Macintosh) product, an
AlphaServer would have the ability to serve files to a Macintosh
