Ask the Wizard Questions

C Language: Portin application

The Question is:

We just finished porting a DOS application to VMS.
The DOS application was written in C. When we run the
application on our Vax the screens refresh one line at
a time, making it painfully slow to redraw the screen
when the screen is detailed with graphs, etc.
Is their an application that we could add to the program
that will solve or problem or is a programming issue?

The Answer is:

What screen management package is used? curses? SMG? X?
Third-party? Which OpenVMS version? Which C compiler?
