Ask the Wizard Questions

MACRO: Can't compile

The Question is:

i am try to compile a vax macro program on a alpha server
2100 5/250, it is not compiling properly, it compile ok on a
vax 6610 machine

The Answer is:

What, exactly, does the MACRO-32 compiler (that which turns MACRO-32
source into Alpha objects) say when you try to compile the source?
Does the VAX assembler issue any messages when you assemble this
    source?

The question is so ambiguous as to be unanswerable.

And of course, anyone who has to do this for real should acquire a copy
of Porting VAX Macro code. The last order number I have is
    AA-PV64B-TE.
