Ask the Wizard Questions

DECwindows: Mutliple heads, 1 logical screen

The Question is:

Hello wizards,

the goal is to:
- use more than one graphics adapter in a ALPHA system running openVMS
- use the mouse to drag a window from one screen (= monitor) to another
  screen (= monitor2 )

It is possible to move the mouse pointer from one screen to another.

Question:

Does openVMS 7.0/Motif 1.2-3 support this?
Do I need special graphics adapters/drivers for this?
Will it be supported at all?

Regards

The Answer is:

Current DECwindows Motif supports multipleheads, and allows moving the
cursor between screens. The part that is not supported is to move
windows from one screen to another.
