Ask the Wizard Questions

MIME encoded batch mail

The Question is:

I want to mail files using SMTP from an AXP system running
OpenVMS. I want these files to be MIME-encoded and sent as
attachments. I need to be able to do this via a
non-interactive command ( i.e. in a batch job ). I need a
simple "mailer" which will run with UCX and not require
an expensive mail-switching / forwarding solution ( that
is, I don't want to buy All-in-1 and Mailbus!!! ).

Any ideas??

Thanks.

The Answer is:

Looking at the DECUS tape I belive you will find a MIME encoder/decoder
in the [.NET94A] directory of VS0178. Then it UCX & VMS & command
procedure will allow to mail from batch jobs.
