Ask the Wizard Questions

License administration

The Question is:

I am in the process of trying rationalise my license PAKs.
The site I'm working at has not had its licenses managed
well and the systems have gone through a few upgrades
since the original purchases.

The local DEC office is not very knowledgable about the
rules of licensing. Do you have any information what will
describe the current rules and how they apply to the old
licences? (eg what lic. can be migrated to another system,
rules for clusters etc.)

Thanks for your assistance.

The Answer is:

You need to get "OpenVMS License Management Utility Manual". Then
contact you contract administrator or call your local CSC for license
    administration question.
