Ask the Wizard Questions

PATHWORKS: OpenVMS Netware server

The Question is:

Can OpenVMS function as a netware server (4) server?
If so, what kind of system would it take to function for
~1000 users? I mean system hardware. We're looking
at building an FDDI/switched fast ethernet network here,
with a central server for all students. We like dealing
with netware, but PC servers aren't stable.

ps. Who do I ask about DEC UNIX doing the same thing?

The Answer is:

Digital offer PATHWORKS for OpenVMS netware server software, and
PATHWORKS for Unix netware server software.
