Ask the Wizard Questions

Language: Full 64 bit support

The Question is: 

At what version will OpenVMS be full 64-bit compliant
and have 64-bit compilers available?  (I have a government
client asking this of us.)

The Answer is: 

    At V7.0 the OS supports full 64 bit VA and applications.  However, at
    V7.0 only the DEC C compiler allows full 64 VA useage.  Other compilers
    are forthcoming.
