Ask the Wizard Questions

DEFPA FDDI cluster

The Question is:

We have 4 Alphaserver 2000 4/233 systems in a SCSI Cluster.
We are currently runing VMS 6.1 and will be upgrading to VMS 6.2
in the near future. When we upgrade we would like to convert the cluster
from SCSI to FDDI. Is clustering supported on a DEFPA-AA FDDI Board under
VMS 6.2 ?

The Answer is:

V6.1 does not support SCSI clustering, you have to be at V6.2 minimum.
DEFPA-AA are supported in V6.2-1H1 for booting over the FDDI. If you
don't want to boot over the DEFPA, then support starts at V6.1-1H2.
