Ask the Wizard Questions

VAXserver 3900 as satellite?

The Question is:

Dear Wizard,

1) In a Local Area VaxCluster, we'll be replacing a VaxServer
   3900 by a MicroVax 3100/90. As the 3900, the new 3100/90
will be the bootnode for 8 Vaxstations. Is there any problem
to include as a satellite the 3900 ? We have done it, with
a MicroVax 3600, but the name VAXSERVER, let suppose that this
machine has to be a server.

2) The reason we want to keep it in the cluster, is that the
Q-bus let all tape devices beeing visible through all the
cluster, wich is not possible with VaxStation 3100, wich
   are having a SCSI-bus. Am I right ?

Thanks in advance,

The Answer is:

 No problem...
