Ask the Wizard Questions

LAT on PC without PATHWORKS?

The Question is:

Perhaps not strictly VMS, but.....

One of our users has a VMS application with a DOS
graphics front-end. The front-end talks to the
application on the Vax over LAT.

Question: How can we provide LAT connectivity without
installing pathworks?

Thanks...

The Answer is:

PATHWORKS is one of the producst that provide LAT connectivity. If you
do not want PATHWORKS you will need to find a 3rd party vendor.
However, you will need some software, LAT protocol is not provided by
Microsoft on any of it O/S products.
