Downgrade DECwindows

The Question is: 


Can one downgrade from Motif version 1.2 to Motif version
1.1 by simply re-installing Motif version 1.1?

We have some applications that worked with Motif 1.1
but do not work with 1.2.  Can we simply re-install
Motif 1.1?

The Answer is: 



    The bottom line is it has not been tested, you should restore from the
    backup you made before updating Motif.
