EssNet develops and supplies turnkey gaming systems to lotteries
and gaming organization worldwide. The company’s experience dates back to the
1930s, when EssNet designed and manufactured the world's first coupon
validator. Over the years, a number of EssNet innovations followed, solutions
that laid a solid foundation for EssNet’s position as a global supplier of
reliable lottery systems and equipment. Since 1992, with the introduction of
EssNet's ELOS online lottery system, EssNet has won 25 percent of all new
online lottery contracts worldwide.
EssNet’s customers are government-authorized
lotteries that operate games such as Lotto, Keno, Oddset, and other sports
betting games. Today, EssNet has customers in Europe, Australia, the Middle
East, and South America.
In 2000, the EssNet Group—including EssNet AB in Stockholm,
Sweden, and its fully owned subsidiaries in Germany, Hungary, Latvia, and
Portugal—was acquired by InterGame AS, which in turn is owned by several
Norwegian and Swedish companies in the IT, gaming, and communications industries.
