SSH for OpenVMS

»  download final SSH for OpenVMS EAK (Early Adopter's Kit)   (November 11, 2003)

HP OpenVMS Engineering is pleased to provide you with the final Early Adopter's Kit of Secure Shell (SSH), ported to OpenVMS Alpha.

Based on industry-standard SSH2, the EAK introduces SSH for OpenVMS, which is fully supported as part of TCP/IP Services Version 5.4 for OpenVMS.

Secure Shell (SSH) is a combination of client and server software that transparently encrypts and decrypts data flow between hosts on a network. OpenVMS SSH software is based on SSH2 Software from SSH Communication Security, Version 2.4.1.

Documentation

See SSH for OpenVMS Restrictions (PDF) before you install SSH for OpenVMS.

For complete information about SSH for OpenVMS, see the TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Guide to SSH (PDF).

Software Requirements

SSH for OpenVMS Early Adopters Kit requires that your system is running the following:

  • TCP/IP Services Version 5.3 (or higher) for OpenVMS
  • OpenVMS Version 7.2-2 (or higher)
